I put these shoes immediately and have them now. They are perfect for winter around the house with socks and outside, and better than the slippers because of the support and rubber sole for races outside too. Great for standing in the kitchen for long periods of cooking. Not particularly attractive, so I do not wear them out and about unless I forget I have them on. I like the interior soft, easy to slip on them, color and comfort.

I bought a pair of these yesterday and they were not of my feet .... Well no, I do not sleep in them .... I bought a half size larger than I usually wear so I can wear thick socks with them. They look really great and felt great immediately. I think I'll buy another pair. I have not bought some persuading spray protector because I'll wear them outside in the snow for short periods and my guess is that moisture could stains. But ... do not know so sure. I like the fact they are putting on but because of the lip on the back, they feel safe and are not likely to inadvertently.

This is my second pair of Merrell Encore Chill Stitch. Last winter, I wore black leather smooth and rarely anything else and they hardly look worn. I bought Raisin in 8M this week and love it. The Grape is a dark brown or red Burgundy. I do not know how many pairs of Merrells I have but I did not buy another brand in three years. I carried the genes Merrell (two pairs) sandals all summer and now I look forward to a warm winter with my new Encore Chill Stitch with and / or without socks. Perfect fit with the lip on the back to hold the shoe to your foot, you can actually run in this shoe. I also carry the Barrado (three pairs) a lot. If you want comfort, this is it.
